How to convert AVCHD footage to any other format to use it for editing.

Not a lot of people have programs that can understand AVCHD footage.
This type of video format is very hard to edit with and basic programs like windows movie maker and others can't understand it.

However, you can always convert that AVCHD footage into something simple like MPEG, or AVI...
(Note: AVCHD footage usually comes with camcorders, a lot of other cameras have AVI. and MOV.)

Now , to convert this AVCHD footage , you are going to need a converter.

The best converter i  found the easiest to convert this type of video  is ''Free HD converter V2.0''.

Then, when you download it , it will show up on your desktop.

Then, click the setup and follow these instructions:

Click RUN

Then, click NEXT STEP

and then another window will show up , so press accept...Then you're download will be done so click install now, and then i recommend typical installation, and then it will start download, then it will finish and it will show up on the desktop so then click it , and then this will show up:

and then click file----->ADD MTS or M2TS File

and then add the AVCHD video
and then go to ''Output format , put in the format you want , and press convert , and then your done.
